To My Valued Clients and Friends:

When I started my agency in 1994, I was a second-generation agency owner. You know it as the Steven C. McCarty Agency, Inc. or SCM Agency. My Father, Les McCarty, taught me the business. I promised him I would provide the same high level of service his clients were accustomed to and have been rewarded by my clients for the hard work and professionalism my staff and I have given to every one of you.

 

Over the years the agency has grown significantly almost exclusively by referrals.  It is so flattering to know that my clients will share my name with friends and family when insurance comes to mind. I deeply appreciate your loyalty.

 

Because of my growth I have found it necessary to expand. I searched long and hard to find an agency that shared my values and I have found them in Brooks, Robb and Callahan (BRC) in Oyster Bay.  They are another family-owned, second-generation agency like mine. I am pleased to announce that I am merging my agency with them starting April 1, 2023.

After the merger you will have the same access to me and my Executive Account Manager, Jennifer Martinez, along with many other benefits. Here’s what you can expect going forward: 

 

1.    Our hours will remain 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

 

2.    Besides having the same access to myself and Jennifer, the support staff at BRC will also be available to you. I urge you to take advantage of their knowledge and experience.

 

3.    Inflation has impacted every aspect of our lives and insurance costs are no exception.  With BRC, we will have additional markets for all lines of insurance, including expanded products for life insurance and financial planning.  This will guarantee that you are always getting the most competitive rates from high-quality companies for all your insurance needs.

 

4.    Our website at www.scmagency.com will take you to a new webpage, www.brcinsurance.com, that will offer everything you need to transact business or file a claim outside of our regular business hours.

 

5.    Our contact information will remain unchanged. Whether you call, email or text you will do so as you always have.

 

In closing I want to thank all of you, my loyal clients and friends, for the trust you have placed in the SCM Agency.  It is a responsibility I truly cherished. If you have any concerns or comments, please reach out to me or Jennifer to give us the opportunity to address them.
