Most businesses require a policy that combines both Commercial Property and Commercial General Liability coverage:

  • Commercial Property

    • Commercial Property protects the physical property of your business such as your building, furniture and equipment, inventory, computers or electronic data processing equipment

      • Business Income coverage helps replace lost income when your business can’t operate temporarily due to a covered loss (fire, pipe burst, etc.)

      • Business Income and Extra Expense covers additional expenses like rent at a temporary property, payroll and other financial responsibilities while your property is being repaired or replaced

  • Commercial General Liability

    • Commercial General Liability protects you and your business from claims involving Bodily Injury, Property Damage and Personal & Advertising Injury (libel, slander, wrongful eviction).  In today's litigious world, it is crucial you have adequate limits to protect your assets.  Even if you are not found liable, the costs to defend can warrant this coverage alone.

      • If you and/or your employee(s) use a personal auto in the course of business, be sure to discuss Hired & Non-Owned coverage with a licensed agent to be sure you are properly protected; some personal auto policies will exclude coverage if an accident occurs in the course of business.
